- A Boeing BA.N 737-800 operated by Jeju Air 089590.KS ,
carrying 181 people crash-landed on its belly on Sunday at an
airport in South Korea, hitting a barrier and exploding into an
orange fireball in the worst aviation disaster in the country in
almost three decades.
- The leader of Azerbaijan directly blamed Russia on Sunday
for the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger jet last week,
calling on Moscow to accept responsibility and offer
compensation to victims.
- U.S. President-elect Donald Trump appeared to weigh in on
Saturday on a heated debate among his supporters over the role
of skilled immigrant workers in the US economy, saying he had
