INFLATION
On Tuesday, the statistical office releases data on inflation in Poland for August. According to the preliminary reading, the rate of price growth last month was 3.4% year-on-year.

BIEDRONKA
The Polish consumer authority said on Monday it had fined supermarket chain Biedronka, 29 transport firms and eight individuals more than 570 million zlotys ($142.5 million) for a no-poach pact affecting drivers.

FRENCH NUCLEAR DEFENSE
Bienjamin Haddad, France's Minister for the European Union, said that France is on the verge of making key decisions regarding French nuclear defences for Poland, Rzeczpospolita dialy reported.

FISCAL COUNCIL
Poland’s draft budget for 2027 does not outline measures to consolidate public finances and the risk of public debt exceeding 55% of gross domestic product is very high, according to an opinion published by the Fiscal Council on Monday.

COAL IMPORTS
According to data from the Industrial Development Agency, thermal coal imports to Poland increased by 168% in the first half of the year, Gazeta Wyborcza daily reported.

RUSSIAN DRONE
The Polish military has pulled what appears to be a Russian drone from the sea on the Baltic coast in northern Poland, the defence minister said on Monday.
