Saudi Aramco Announces the Appointment of an Audit Committee member and the Chair of the Audit Committee
 



Introduction


Saudi Aramco announces the issuance of its Board resolution dated 21/8/1441H (corresponding to 14/4/2020G) appointing Mr. Mark A. Weinberger, an independent member of the Board of Directors, as a member in the Audit Committee.
The Board also resolved to appoint Ms. Lynn Laverty Elsenhans, an independent member of the Board of Directors and a current member of the Audit Committee, as the Chair of the Audit Committee.

Brief Resume of the Appointed Member


Mr. Weinberger is the former global Chairman and CEO of EY (previously known as Ernst & Young). Mr. Weinberger has also held several high level posts in the public sector in the United States. Currently, Mr. Weinberger serves as a Director on the Boards of Johnson & Johnson and Metlife as well as a Member on several Boards of Trustees, including the United States Council for International Business (USCIB). He obtained a B.A. degree from Emory University (Economics) in 1983, an MBA and JD from Case Western Reserve University in 1987 and an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991.
