The Company announces today it has purchased the following number of its
ordinary shares of 10 pence each through Investec Bank plc.

 Number of ordinary shares purchased:     555,381
 Lowest price per share (pence):          116.6
 Highest price per share (pence):         119.4
 Weighted average price per day (pence):  117.5456

 

The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares.

 

Following the above transaction, the Company's issued share capital consists
of 423,338,630 ordinary shares of 10 pence each with voting rights.
