Journeo plc
("Journeo" or the "Company")
£1m Purchase Orders and further extension into airport systems
Journeo plc (AIM: JNEO), a leading provider of information systems and
technical services to transport operators, local authorities and the public
transport networks that connect them, is pleased to announce approximately
£1m of purchase orders from a large local authority in the South of England.
The orders are for the supply, installation and maintenance of passenger
information display infrastructure and associated software services that will
support the authority in meeting the goals set out as part of their Bus
Service Improvement Plan.
The authority will benefit from an expansion of its real-time passenger
information display estate, using Journeo's latest high definition TFT
displays, and increased accessibility through push-button audio solutions that
will support passengers with limited vision to access vital public transport
services in the area. The orders also include the supply of interactive
totem technology, to be located at strategic decision-points within the
transport network, which will provide members of the public access to the
latest real time information on transport departures, local events and points
of interest needed to plan their journeys.
Additionally, orders have also been received for Journeo's fully integrated
airport transfer and real time information systems to be delivered at Leeds
Bradford Airport and Dublin Airport. This increases the total to 8 of the UK
and Ireland's largest airports, with over 450 buses and other airport assets
installed with Journeo technology and communicating in real time to the
Journeo Portal.
Journeo's expertise in airport solutions has developed considerably since its
first system at Gatwick airport in 2017 and now delivers a wide range of
benefits that both support the airports to manage transfer operations through
highly accurate passenger flow analysis, and enhance the passenger experience
through the delivery of real time journey information.
Russ Singleton commented, "We are delighted to achieve these latest purchase
orders demonstrating the flexibility and capability of Journeo's technology.
Whether the deployments are to encourage members of the public to use local
public transport, for commuting, leisure and social activities; or to support
highly complex airport operations, where our systems will now collectively
support more than 210 million passenger journeys a year, our technology is
enabling members of the public to move away from personal-use vehicles with
confidence and further establishes our position as a provider of intelligent
transport systems, at any scale."
