Prosus seeks EU antitrust approval for $4.7 bln Just Eat deal

BRUSSELS, June 23 (Reuters) - Prosus PRX.AS has requested EU antitrust approval for its 4.1-billion-euro ($4.72 billion) acquisition of Just Eat Takewaway.com TKWY.AS to create a "European tech champion" of food delivery, the Dutch technology investor said on Monday.

Prosus submitted its request to the European Commission on Friday and is very confident of securing approval after the EU's preliminary review, the company told reporters.
