Karuna Therapeutics up 19% as schizophrenia drug meets main goal in late-stage trial

** Shares of Karuna Therapeutics Inc  KRTX.O  rise 18.5% to
$227 premarket
    ** Co says its experimental drug significantly reduced
symptoms of schizophrenia in a late-stage trial
    ** The drug KarXT met its primary goal by showing a
statistically significant and clinically meaningful 8.4-point
reduction in a medical scale used to measure the severity of
schizophrenia symptoms
    ** Co is on track to submit application to the U.S. FDA in
mid-2023, with a potential launch in H2 2024 if approved
    ** Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder which affects
a person's ability to think, feel and behave clearly
    ** Co gained 50% last year
