** Shares of drug developer Kazia Therapeutics KZIA.O rise 69% to $13.74 premarket

** Co says its experimental cancer therapy, paxalisib, destroyed large tumor cell clusters in blood samples taken from patients with advanced HER2-positive breast cancer

** Therapy achieved 100% disruption of circulating tumor cell clusters containing three or more cells, which are linked to aggressive disease

** Study led by Professor Sudha Rao at QIMR Berghofer in collaboration with Kazia

** Co plans to present more detailed data at global oncology meeting later this year

** As of last close, stock down 6.8% YTD
