U.S. stocks were higher on Monday as fears about a trade war between the United
States and China eased following reports that the two countries were willing to
negotiate tariffs and trade imbalances. .N

23,818.5. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.93 percent at 2,612.38 and the Nasdaq
Composite .IXIC was up 0.99 percent at 7,062.041.
