June 28 - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen
opening higher on Friday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.3%.
* ECONOMY: Britain's economy grew more quickly than
previously thought in the first three months of this year,
expanding by 0.7% from the previous quarter, above an initial
estimate of 0.6% growth, official figures showed.
* KEYWORD STUDIOS: Keywords Studios KWS.L has received
a raised takeover
offer
from European private equity group EQT EQTAB.ST of 1.96
billion pounds ($2.48 billion), the Dublin-based video game
services firm said.
* TATA STEEL: Tata Steel TISC.NS could take steps to pause
or stop some blast furnace operations earlier than planned at
its plant in Port Talbot, Wales, while it challenges the legal
basis for a strike organised by trade union Unite.
* OIL: Oil prices rose in early Asian trading hours, setting
up a third straight weekly jump, as concerns about supply
problems from escalating geopolitical tensions and
weather-related disruptions offset signs of weak demand.
* METALS: Copper prices in London firmed but were on track
for their biggest monthly decline since May 2023 amid patchy
economic growth in top consumer China and higher inventories.
