UK Stocks-Factors to watch on May 20 (updated)

May 20 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is
seen opening higher on Monday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.11%.
* ASTRAZENECA: AstraZeneca AZN.L said it plans to build a
$1.5 billion manufacturing facility in Singapore in an effort to
enhance its antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) portfolio.
* BRITISH LAND: Landlord British Land Co Plc BLND.L
said it has sold its 50% stake in Meadowhall Shopping Centre to
its partner Norges Bank Investment Management for 360 million
pounds ($457.34 million).
* KEYWORDS STUDIOS: European private equity group EQT
EQTAB.ST is in
advanced discussions
to buy Dublin-based video game services company Keywords
Studios KWS.L for 2.2 billion pounds, the companies said in a
statement.
* AI: Britain’s artificial intelligence (AI) safety
institute will
open
an office in the United States, hoping to foster greater
international collaboration on the regulation of a fast-moving
technology.
* RIGHTMOVE: Prices of homes being put up for sale in
Britain have hit record highs despite still expensive mortgage
costs, but the pace of gains has slowed, according to data from
property website Rightmove RMV.L .
* OIL: Brent crude futures extended gains, inching up amid
political uncertainty in major producing countries after Iran's
president died in a helicopter crash and the Saudi crown prince
cancelled a Japan trip, citing health issues with the king.
* GOLD: Gold prices hit an all-time high, as a slowing U.S.
inflation trend boosted expectations the Federal Reserve could
deliver its first interest rate cut soon.
* METALS: Copper prices surged to record high levels as
China's property support measures and better-than-expected
industrial data added to momentum buying that has been fuelling
base metals prices for the past month.
