Kinepolis rises after 'outstanding' H1 results
BUZZ-Kinepolis rises after 'outstanding' H1 results ** Shares in the Belgium-based cinema operator Kinepolis KIPO.BR are up 3.3% after an "outstanding set of results" for the first half of the year, as per KBC
** The company said H1 revenue increased by 32.6% to €341.8 million ($399.36 million) and the number of visitors was up 33.8% in the period
** KBC sees the results as evidence that the industry's recent weakness was primarily driven by content supply rather than consumer demand
** The broker notes that Kinepolis enters Q3 with solid momentum and remains confident on the second half, supported by a strong film slate including titles such as Avengers, Dune, Jumanji and The Hunger Games
** The brokerage adds that the recent Showcase acquisition should further bolster Kinepolis' U.S. growth profile
** Including today's rise, the stock has gained 47.2% YTD
