HK-listed Tencent rises on share buyback; Kingsoft, Weimob jump

** Shares of Tencent Holdings Ltd  0700.HK  rise as much as
3.1% to HK$494.80, the most actively traded by turnover in early
afternoon trade 
    ** Tencent bought back 210,000 shares for HK$103.3 mln 
($13.29 mln) on Sept 9, according to filing from the Hong Kong

    ** Stock's rebound follows a 8.5% drop on Thursday, in line
with other gaming shares after a Chinese regulatory squeeze on
industries from online platforms and entertainment to for-profit

    ** Shares of Kingsoft Corp  3888.HK  jump 4.2% to HK$32.10,
after the online games developer bought back 323,400 for HK$9.95

commerce and marketing solutions services provider repurchased
1.2 mln shares for HK$14.98 mln on Sept 9

    ** The Hong Kong Hang Seng subindex tracking information
technology firms  .HSCIIT  jumps 2.9% and the Hang Seng Tech
Index  .HSTECH  rises 2.7%

2.1%and the benchmark index  .HSI  climbs 1.8%
