India steel minister proposes KIOCL merger with NMDC

NEW DELHI, Jan 17 (Reuters) - India has proposed for a
merger of state-owned miners KIOCL KIOC.NS and NMDC NMDC.NS ,
federal steel minister H D Kumaraswamy said on Friday.
KIOCL, which also produces iron ore pellets, is "in critical
condition," Kumaraswamy added.
