CARREFOUR CARR.PA :
Brazilian billionaire Abilio Diniz, who built an empire in
the supermarket retail sector, died on Sunday in Sao Paulo,
according to his press office.
CASINO CASP :
French retailer on Friday said it had filed petitions before
the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York for
the opening of Chapter 15 proceedings under the U.S.Bankruptcy
Code.
EXOR EXOR.AS :
Juventus JUVE.MI , controlled by Exor, the investment arm
for the Agnelli family, said on Friday its net loss widened to
95.1 million euros in the first half of its 2023-24 fiscal year
as its ban from lucrative European competition this season over
financial irregularities weighed on the Italian soccer club's
revenue.
FRANCE/ECONOMY:
French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said the government
had lowered its forecast for 2024 GDP growth to 1% from 1.4% as
war in Ukraine and Gaza and a slowdown at top trading partners
Germany and China darkened the outlook.
FRANCE/DEFENCE:
France and Ukraine on Friday signed a bilateral security
agreement including pledges from Paris to deliver more arms,
train soldiers and send up to 3 billion euros in military aid to
Kivy this year to help the country in its war against Russia,
the Elysee said.
