Nov 5 - German steel processor Kloeckner & Co KCOGn.DE said that its shipments rose 1.9% to 1.144 million metric tonnes in the third quarter, mainly helped by growth in the Kloeckner Metals Americas segment.
Shipments were up from 1.12 million tonnes in the same quarter the previous year.
Price factors pushed sales down slightly by 2.2% compared to the same quarter last year, to 1.609 million euros.
The company posted adjusted core profit (EBITDA) of 43 million euros ($50.15 million) for the period ending September 30, compared with 21 million euros last year, continuing a positive trend from previous quarters.
