NZ's KMD Brands hits 4-month high on strong sales growth

** Shares of outdoor, lifestyle, and sports co KMD Brands
Ltd KMD.NZ rise as much as 7.6% to NZ$1.13, their highest
since July 13
** Co says total sales in Q1 FY23 increased by 61.8% over
last year, and rose 17.5% over pre-COVID level
** Says underlying operating profit improved by nearly NZ$30
mln ($18.46 mln) year-on-year
** More than 2.4 mln shares change hands, 5.7 times the
30-day average of 426,484 shares
** Stock down 30.9% this year, as of last close
($1 = 1.6252 New Zealand dollars)
