Vopak posts third-quarter core earnings miss (updated)

Adds details on results in paragraphs 3-4

Nov 5 (Reuters) - Dutch tank storage company Vopak VOPA.AS reported a lower-than-expected core profit for the third quarter on Wednesday, hurt by a negative currency impact and one-off expenses.

Proportional earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 2.6% year-on-year to 286.5 million euros ($334.1 million) in the reported quarter, missing the 291 million euros forecast from analysts polled by the company.

The group said its profit in the third quarter was impacted by restructuring and integration costs of 3 million euros and negative currency translation impacts of 7 million euros.

Vopak, which operates terminals and storage facilities worldwide, maintained its full-year outlook, saying it expects its portfolio performance to offset negative currency translation effects.
