Koppers Holdings jumps on upbeat second-quarter forecasts

** Shares of chemical company Koppers Holdings  KOP.N  up
13.7% at $20.4; stock among top gainers on the NYSE and set for
its best day in nearly a month
    ** CEO Leroy Ball says KOP will finish Q2 with earnings

    ** Forecasts Q2 adj. EPS of $0.70 to $0.85 vs. analysts'
estimates of $0.43, according to IBES data from Refinitiv
    ** Forecasts Q2 sales of $410 mln to $420 mln, compared with
estimates of $396 mln  
    ** KOP also says will close a wood treatment facility in
Denver by August
    ** Including Wednesday's gains, KOP up nearly 24% in June,
but still down 46.2% YTD
