Kronos Bio falls as co will not proceed with mid-stage trial for cancer therapy

** Shares of cancer therapy developer Kronos Bio  KRON.O 
fall 7.53% to $1.35 after market
    ** Co has decided not to proceed with mid-stage trial of its
therapy lanraplenib in combination with cancer drug gilteritinib
in patients with a type of blood cancer
    ** The decision is based on a review of the data from an
early-stage trial in 24 patients
    ** While there were blast reductions in some patients, no
complete response or complete response with partial hematologic
recovery was observed, with a number of patients discontinuing
early in treatment - KRON
    ** KRON is open to further development of the therapy
lanraplenib with a partner
    ** Stock down ~9% YTD
