The following factors could affect Italian markets on Wednesday.

    POLITICS
    Italy's foreign ministry summoned the Russian ambassador
over the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, a spokesman
for the ministry said on Tuesday.
    
    ECONOMY
    Italy's industry ministry on Tuesday took charge of
ArcelorMittal's  MT.LU  plants in the country under a special
administration procedure, ending weeks of clashes with the
world's second-largest steelmaker.
    
    DEBT
    Italy's Treasury will sell up to 5.5 billion euros in BTP,
BTPei bonds at a Feb. 23 auction. 
    
    COMPANIES
    MEDIOBANCA  MDBI.MI  
    Delfin, the family vehicle of the Del Vecchio family and the
bank's largest investor, sold 1 million shares, equal to 0.12%
of share capital, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday. The
transaction took place between Feb. 9 and Feb. 14.
    
    STELLANTIS  STLAM.MI  
    The automaker could build electric vehicles based on
technology from Chinese affiliate Leapmotor in Europe, North
America or other markets, CEO Carlos Tavares said on Tuesday,
after media reported it could do so in Italy. 
    
    The Fiat parent company said on Tuesday it will continue to
manufacture the fully electric (BEV) 500 small car and also
future versions of the vehicle in Turin, in its latest step to
ease tensions with the Italian government.
    
    ENEL  ENEI.MI  
    The energy group said on Tuesday it had placed a new
900-million-euro perpetual hybrid bond with coupon at 4.750%,
which was more than three-times oversubscribed, with total
orders of more than 3 billion euros.
    
    A2A  A2.MI  
    Italy's largest regional power utility on Tuesday posted a
30% jump in full-year core profit to 1.93 billion euros.
