    ** Rare diseases-focused drug developer says European
Commission has granted orphan designation for its cystic
fibrosis (CF) experimental gene therapy, KB407
    ** CF is a hereditary disease that affects the lungs and
digestive system
    ** U.S. FDA in 2020 granted "orphan drug" designation to
KB407 in CF treatment 
    ** KRYS stock gained 13.3% in 2022
