China's Kunlun Energy brings in first Russian LPG by rail

SINGAPORE, Sept 3 (Reuters) - China's Kunlun Energy Co Ltd,
a unit of state energy giant PetroChina 0857.HK , moved its
first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from a Russian oilfield to
an industrial park in a Chinese city by the border, PetroChina's
parent CNPC said on Tuesday
Two trains carrying a total of 1,150 tonnes of LPG arrived
in Manzhouli city in northeast China's Heilongjiang province in
late August, CNPC said on its website, without specifying the
supplier of the fuel.
Some 100,000 tonnes of Russian LPG is expected to be
transported this way to the border city by early 2020, CNPC
said, adding that the receiving point at Manzhouli has an annual
handling capacity of more than 1 million tonnes of the fuel.
Kunlun Energy supplies the fuel to chemical plants and
residential users in the region.
