Corrects to clarify that the company was impacted by unfavourable currency and energy costs not higher energy costs
April 28 (Reuters) - French industrial gases group Air Liquide AIRP.PA on Tuesday reported slightly lower than expected revenue for the first quarter.
The company, which supplies gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen to factories and hospitals, said its revenue rose to 6.79 billion euros ($7.95 billion) in the quarter, excluding the impact of unfavourable currency movements and energy costs.
Analysts polled by Vara Research were expecting sales of 6.83 billion euros on average.
