    ** LABP says the U.S. FDA cleared its application to start a
clinical study testing its drug candidate omilancor for the
treatment of Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nGNX6sWX77
    ** EoE is a chronic disease characterized by a build up of 
immune cells called eosinophils in the esophagus
    ** There are up to 160,000 EoE patients in the United
States, according to co
    ** Co expects to initiate patient dosing in the early stage
study in H1 2022
    ** Omilancor is also in development for other disorders such
as Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease
    ** LABP had fallen about 23% since its market debut in
February
