STOXX HEADS FOR DECENT WEEKLY RISE
European shares are heading for their fourth straight positive week, helped by relatively subdued oil prices and as earnings continue to impress.
Companies in Europe's STOXX 600 .STOXX are now expected to report earnings growth of over 22% in the second quarter, their strongest earnings growth since the third quarter of 2022.
The index is up 0.2% on Friday, heading for a weekly rise of 1.6%. That would mark the fourth consecutive weekly gain and the biggest weekly rise since June.
Shares in Kingspan KSP.I are rising after results on Friday as the building materials firm raised its profit forecast on booming data centre demand.
Other companies rising after earnings include defence company CSG CSG.AS and pharma company Genmab GMAB.CO. Falling after results are Lanxess LXSG.DE and Daimler Truck DTGGe.DE.
Eyes are now turning to U.S. labour market figures later in the day. Fed Chair Warsh's dislike of forward guidance has given data releases added significance, with markets split almost 50-50 on whether the Fed will raise or hold rates next month.
