** Shares of German real estate companies edge down, a local trader points to Germany's Social Democrats (SPD) plans from a draft bill to extend tenant protection

** Deutsche Wohnen DWNG.DE, TAG Immobilen TEGG.DE and LEG Immobilien LEGn.DE are down 1.3%-2.5%

** SPD Justice Minister Hubig's plan foresees a tighter regulation for index-linked rents as well and furnished apartments

** Furthermore, short term rentals should receive maximum limit of six months

** Deutsche Wohnen, Tag Immobilien and LEG Immobilien are among the bottom movers of the German mid-cap index .MDAXI
