Fire breaks out at Austrian fabric firm Lenzing (updated)

VIENNA, April 19 (Reuters) - A fire broke out on Friday
at Austrian fabric company Lenzing LENV.VI at a site that
includes its headquarters and production facilities, the company
and fire brigade said.
The fire began at 8:36 a.m. (0636 GMT) in the area of a
tower and the cause was not yet known, the company said.
"We expect that the fire will be brought under control
quickly and will give an update on the situation within a short
time," Lenzing said in a statement, adding that one person had
been injured but that rapid intervention by the company's fire
brigade had prevented the fire spreading further.
A spokesman for the fire brigade in the state of Upper
Austria said six fire brigades were present. The fire brigade in
the town of Lenzing declined to comment.
