Leonardo rises after lifting guidance on strong H1 order growth
BUZZ-Leonardo rises after lifting guidance on strong H1 order growth ** Shares in Italy's Leonardo LDOF.MI rise around 3.7% after the defence company reported on Thursday a 45% rise in new contracts in the first half of the year and lifted its FY guidance for orders, core profit and FCF
** The new guidance includes estimated contribution from the €1.6 billion acquisition of Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) from truck maker Iveco IVG.MI, the company said
** Jefferies deems the results "solid", citing a Q2 EBITA 5% ahead of consensus on improving margins, which the brokerage attributes to strength in its Defence Electronics business and a recovery in its Aerostructures activities
** EQUITA also says Q2 results were better than expected, noting the guidance upgrade is above its estimates
** The stock gains more than 13% YTD
