ROME, May 6 (Reuters) - Italy's aerospace and defence group Leonardo LDOF.MI on Wednesday reported a 33% year-on-year rise in first-quarter core earnings and a 30.7% increase in new orders.
"All main economic and financial indicators showed meaningful improvement, confirming the effectiveness of the commercial and operational actions implemented by the Group," Chief Executive Roberto Cingolani said in a statement.
The group confirmed its guidance for the rest of the year.
