** South Korea's artificial intelligence-related stocks rally on policy hopes

** President Lee Jae-myung, who has vowed to boost investment in AI, appoints Ha Jung-woo, head of Future AI Centre at Naver, the country's dominant web portal operator, as his first AI secretary

** AI chipmaker SK Hynix 000660.KS rises as much as 5.3%, set to post a record closing high

** Cloud service provider Samsung SDS 018260.KS gains more than 16%, biggest daily jump since January 2021, and peer LG CNS 064400.KS adds over 10%

** Search engine Naver 035420.KS rises more than 3%, while instant messenger Kakao 035720.KS gains more than 2%

** The benchmark KOSPI .KS11 rises 1.4% as of 0552 GMT
