PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 2Q 2018
(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)
 
LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the second quarter of 2018 as follows.
 
In the second quarter of 2018, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 15,017.7 billion (as compared to KRW 15,123.0 billion in 2018.1Q and KRW 14,551.4 billion in 2017.2Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 0.7% (QoQ -0.7%) and a year-on-year increase of 3.2% (YoY 3.2%).
 
The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 770.1 billion (as compared to KRW 1,107.8 billion in 2018.1Q and KRW 664.1 billion in 2017.2Q), representing quarter-on-quarter decrease of 30.4% (QoQ -30.4%) and a year-on-year increase of 16.1% (YoY 16.1%).
