UPDATE 1-LG India reaffirms FY revenue target after first-quarter profit rises 27% Adds details throughout
Aug 13 (Reuters) - LG Electronics India LGEL.NS reaffirmed its fiscal year revenue growth target on Thursday after reporting a more than 27% rise in first-quarter profit due to strong summer season demand for its air conditioners and refrigerators.
Here are some more details:
South Korean giant LG Electronics' 066570.KS Indian unit said it will deliver fiscal 2027 target of mid-teen percent revenue growth and an early double-digit EBITDA margin
For the quarter ended June 30, the company posted a net profit of 6.53 billion rupees ($68.4 million), compared with 5.13 billion rupees a year earlier
Revenue from operations rose 15.5% to 72.33 billion rupees, helped by a 13.6% rise in sales from its biggest segment, home appliances and air solutions
The April-June period is a seasonally strong quarter for electronics makers, as scorching summer temperatures across the subcontinent drive sales of cooling products like air conditioners and refrigerators
Sales were boosted by demand for LG's premium home appliances and a favorable product mix, helping protect margins from rising input costs
EBITDA margins grew by 106 basis points from a year earlier to 12.5%
