AgTech Update

 

Light Science Technologies Holdings plc (AIM: LST), the innovative technology
and manufacturing business providing real-world solutions targeting issues
including global food security and fire safety, provides an update
highlighting the increasing global opportunity for its AgTech division.

 

Highlights

·    Extension of partnership to distribute market leading lighting
solutions for controlled environment agriculture, comprising glasshouses,
polytunnels and other indoor growing

·    Growing demand for indoor and broadacre solutions

·    Increasing international reach

 

Distribution framework agreement extension

The AgTech division has extended its distribution framework agreement to
distribute products developed by Gavita International B.V., a global supplier
of horticulture lighting solutions, for a further 12 months to 31 December
2026.

 

Having already delivered solutions to a customer in Poland earlier this year,
the pipeline of global opportunities relating to this partnership has grown to
in excess of £24.0 million from approximately £10.3 million when it was
originally announced on 10 February 2025.

 

Increasing levels of pipeline conversion and globalisation

Recent AgTech orders include both retrofit and new-build glasshouse turnkey
solutions, tailored to the end-users' specifications. Additionally, an order
from Haygrove Limited, a global grower of berries and cherries, and supplier
of field-scale polytunnels and associated technologies to growers in more than
50 countries, will result in the delivery of the SensorGROW platform into
Australia, New Zealand, Jordan, Poland and the USA. The Company is also set to
have its climate computers installed in a greenhouse in Bhutan.

 

Growing product suite

The Company continues to develop innovative environmental sensor solutions
that will further enhance positive client outcomes. For example, in a recent
trial with Dyson evaluating Life Cycle Assessment in peas, SensorGROW was
utilised to measure nitrous oxide, demonstrating how the gas can inhibit crop
growth triggered by inefficient use of fertilisers. The Board considers that
there are still numerous market opportunities available through developing the
Company's sensor technology further, with key potential developments including
methane, ammonia and water course measurement.
