First Injectaclad Order Secured Following Acquisition
Successful Completion of the Initial Integration Phase
Light Science Technologies Holdings plc (AIM: LST), the innovative technology and manufacturing business, announces that its Passive Fire Protection ("PFP") division has secured its first order as a supplier of the fire-resistant graphite barrier system, Injectaclad. This milestone follows completion of the acquisition of RLUK Injection Ltd ("RLUK") on 14 April 2026 (the "Acquisition").
The Company has received a contract confirmation from one of its approved Injectaclad installers requiring c.£0.41m of Injectaclad material to be called off over the 19-week project completion window. Work is scheduled to commence in early May 2026 on a five-storey residential building in East Yorkshire. Group revenue delivery of c.£0.41m relating to this project is expected to be fully recognised in the current financial year, subject to the project progressing as anticipated.
In just over two weeks since the Acquisition, commitments for Injectaclad product have now been secured from 5 of the 11 quality-accredited installation contractors, highlighting the growing impact of this new revenue stream for the Company.
Strong progress in enhancing systems and stakeholder relationships
Prior to completing the Acquisition, LSTH operated solely as an Injectaclad quality-accredited installation contractor. A central strategic rationale for acquiring RLUK was to establish a higher-margin revenue stream through supplying Injectaclad materials to its approved installation contractors. There are currently 11 qualified installers, each with a substantial project pipeline. This positions the Group to capture a greater share of the value chain and accelerate growth within the PFP division, particularly as the Building Safety Regulator ("BSR") continues to focus on reducing delays and expediting cladding remediation programmes.
Since completing the Acquisition, the Company has made significant progress in executing its integration plan. Core infrastructure required to ensure business continuity has been successfully integrated, including IT systems, management information systems, data migration, insurance arrangements and legal frameworks. The Group has engaged with its supply chain and quality assured installation contractor network and has further refined its strategy through collaboration with key stakeholders, including fire engineers, architects and contractors. Partnerships with fire engineers have been established to strengthen design capabilities, and enhanced testing requirements have been scoped.
Operationally, a warehouse facility has been established at the Contract Electronics Manufacturing division's Manchester site, alongside the development of a supporting logistics network. The Company has also actively promoted its offering, including exhibiting at the three-day Fire Safety Event at the NEC last week.
Planned phased development
Looking ahead, the next phase of the integration plan will focus on strengthening the team with enhanced technical, quality and governance expertise. The Company will communicate its strategy more broadly to quality-assured installation contractors, existing customers and prospective clients, while updating its marketing materials to support this effort. In parallel, LSTH will continue supporting clients and contractors with technical guidance to help convert projects currently awaiting BSR approval. Enhanced testing programmes will be implemented with selected partners, and further engagement with technical experts will support the development of industry-leading brand ambassadors.
Injectaclad's recent participation in the Fire Safety Event 2026 at the NEC provided a valuable platform to engage directly with industry professionals and organisations committed to maintaining the highest standards of fire safety. The event enabled the Company to showcase its technology and demonstrate the benefits of its solutions to a wide audience.
Simon Deacon, CEO of LSTH, commented: "We are delighted with the recent order win, which highlights the significant opportunity to position ourselves as both an installer and supplier of Injectaclad. The PFP division is gaining increased visibility and is well placed to secure a growing number of projects that would otherwise require full façade removal and replacement, delivering substantial cost savings and minimising disruption for residents.
"With 11 installers in the network, the Injectaclad acquisition provides access to a broad and growing pipeline of potential projects. The Company is also seeing a growing number of BSR applications specifying Injectaclad. This represents a highly exciting opportunity for the Group, not only within the PFP division but across all our operations, as we focus on driving order conversion, increasing recurring revenues and delivering sustainable profitability."
