MOSCOW, March 13 (Reuters) - Russian energy giant Gazprom GAZP.MM is fighting off numerous legal cases, with combined claims of around 18.5 billion euros ($20 billion) from European companies, according to Reuters calculations based on court documents.
At the same time, Gazprom has launched the reciprocal counter-claims in Russia. Gazprom has already won 10 out of 14 enforcement orders for claims from defendants in Russia, the documents showed.
Gazprom is arguably the Russian business hardest hit by the international sanctions imposed after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine three years ago.
