U.S. stock indexes edged higher on Wednesday following a sharp selloff in the
previous session after red-hot inflation data fanned worries about steep
interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.  .N 
    
    At 11:33 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.27% at
31,188.62. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.39% at 3,948.21 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 0.61% at 11,704.985.
