** Shares of rare-earth magnet company USA Rare Earth USAR.O hit record high, last up 19.3% at $27.11, after CEO confirms to media about talks with White House

** USAR CEO Barbara Humpton said the miner "in close communication" with White House - CNBC reported late on Thursday

** Report comes after U.S. government confirmed stake in Lithium Americas earlier this week LAC.TO, and a public-private partnership with rare-earths producer MP Materials MP.N in July

** "USAR is one of the more significant emerging US Neo magnet manufacturers," - Subash Chandra, The Benchmark Company analyst

** Adds that any reshoring strategy should include USAR

** USAR did not immediately respond to a Reuters' request for comment

** Including session's move, USAR up 135.5% YTD
