    THE GLOBE AND MAIL
    - Lithium Royalty Corp  LIRC.TO  has won a court battle over
a stake in one of the world's largest lithium projects, the
Thacker Pass mine in Nevada, setting the stage for a settlement
which analysts estimate could be worth more than C$300 million 
($222.22 million).
    
    - Bank of Nova Scotia  BNS.TO  has hired a senior banker
from Credit Suisse Group AG  CSN.MX  to join its capital markets
division, the latest hire in a series of lenders scooping up
talent from the Swiss company.

    - The Liquor Control Board of Ontario says the personal data
of its customers have been compromised by an "unauthorized
party," the second such hacking incident to strike the Crown
corporation this year.
