U.S. stocks edged higher on Wednesday, as strength in technology shares offset declines driven by weak economic data that deepened concerns about the impact of the Trump administration's erratic trade policies. .N

At  13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.10% at 42,561.96.The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.22% at 5,983.32, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 0.34% at 19,465.33.
