Notification of Redemption

Issuer: Bank of Scotland plc (the "Issuer")

Title: £100,000,000 8.75 per cent. Perpetual Subordinated Bonds (Formerly
Halifax PIBS) (the "Bonds")

Issue Date: 14 September 1993

Maturity Date: Undated

ISIN: GB0000395102

 

Capitalised terms used and not defined herein shall have the meanings given to
them in the trust deed dated 2 June 1997 and made between the Issuer and The
Law Debenture Trust Corporation p.l.c. (as Trustee) constituting the Bonds.

 

The Issuer hereby gives notice to Bondholders that all of the Bonds will be
redeemed by the Issuer on 14 September 2023 at their principal amount plus
accrued and unpaid interest pursuant to Condition 4(c) of the Bonds.

 

Payments of principal and interest will be made to persons shown on the
Register at the close of business on the Record Date.

 

Bondholders need take no further action in respect of their holding of Bonds.
