    May 12 (Reuters) - The following Spanish stocks may be
affected by newspaper reports and other factors on Wednesday.

    Spain's utility Iberdrola reported a 1.5% rise in
first-quarter core earnings on Wednesday, supported by rapid
building of renewable energy plants and investments in its

    The company also said on Tuesday it had implemented a
buy-back programme for about 0.234 % of its share capital.

    Telefonica, through its subsidiary Telefonica Tech, has
strengthened its strategic alliance with Microsoft  MSFT.O  by
signing an agreement that will allow it to accelerate the
digital transformation of the industrial sector, Spanish

    Merlin has signed a turnkey project with Logista  LOG.MC 
for a logistics development in the Corredor del Henares, Spain,

    Compania Espanola de Viviendas en Alquiler  CEV.MC  
    The company said on Wednesday that its net profit for the
three first months of the year increased 52.2% to 3.5 million
euros ($4.25 million) compared with the same period in 2020.
