Lottomatica forecasts higher core profit for 2024

Feb 29 (Reuters) - Italian gambling firm Lottomatica
LTMC.MI on Thursday forecast 2024 adjusted core profit
(EBITDA) of 625 million to 645 million euros ($677 million to
699 million), above last year's level that exceeded its own
forecast.
The outlook excludes the SKS365 deal set to be completed
during the first half of 2024. Once completed, the company will
issue a new guidance, it said.
"We exceeded expectations set at IPO and subsequent
upgrades," CEO Guglielmo Angelozzi said in a statement about
last year's results.
Lottomatica's full-year adjusted core profit came in at
595.7 million euros, ahead of its forecast range of 570 million
to 590 million euros.
The betting group, which returned to the Milan stock exchange
in 2023, proposed to pay a dividend of 0.26 euros per share for
the financial year.
