** Shares of Lotus Resources LOT.AX rise as much as 10% to A$0.220, their highest level since Feb 13

** Uranium explorer produces first triuranium octoxide from its 85%-owned Kayelekera Uranium Mine in Malawi

** Co says production a key final step in commissioning of mine's processing plant

** Around 19.8 mln shares traded so far vs 30-day average of 12.5 mln

** Stock last up 7.5%, bringing YTD gains to 7.5%
