Wall Street's main indexes rose on Tuesday in a broad rally, but investors still
braced for volatile trading over the next few sessions as voting began in a
tightly contested U.S. presidential election.  .N 
    
    At 1339 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.8% at
42,119.28. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.91% at 5,764.56 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 1.28% at 18,413.364.
