final trading day of a roller-coaster year marked by aggressive interest-rate
hikes to curb inflation, the Russia-Ukraine war and recession fears.  .N 
    At 10:34 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.60% at
33,021.5. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.74% at 3,820.75 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was down 0.99% at 10,374.53.
