** Shares of Marvell Technology MRVL.O fall 9.1% to $228 in extended trading after Bloomberg News reported advance talks to acquire Lumentum LITE.O
** The chipmaker is in advanced talks to acquire the photonic product maker, the report says, citing people familiar with the matter
** A deal could be announced as soon as next week, the report added
** Lumentum's shares were up 8.9% at $992.56 after the bell
** As of last close, MRVL and LITE have more than doubled YTD
