** Shares of chemical maker LyondellBasell LYB.N rise 1.4% to $45.82

** Company posts Q3 adjusted profit of $1.01/share vs estimate of 81 cents per share - data compiled by LSEG

** However, company reports Q3 net loss of $890 million compared with a year-ago profit of $573 million after accounting for one-time $1.2 billion of identified items, net of tax

** LYB posts Q3 revenue of $7.73 billion vs estimate of $7.41 billion - data compiled by LSEG

** CEO Peter Vanacker says cash improvement plan is on track to achieve co's $600 million target in 2025 and a minimum of $1.1 billion by the end of 2026

** Company expects year-end seasonality and lower operating rates to impact results across most businesses in Q4

** Adds that in Q4, it sees higher natgas and feedstock costs likely to pressure integrated polyolefins margins in North America, and weak industrial and consumer demand to persist in Europe

** Including session's move, stock down 38.5% YTD
