** Posts Q2 adjusted profit of $4.30 per share, compared with analysts' average estimate of $3.41 per share - LSEG-compiled data
** Quarterly sales rose 20% to $9.18 billion from a year ago, narrowly exceeding estimates of $9.15 billion 
** Core profit from its Olefins & Polyolefins-Americas unit was $1.18 billion vs $313 million a year ago 
** Its Intermediates & Derivatives unit reported a core profit of $377 million, up from $286 million in the same period last year
** Including session's move, stock up 42.7% YTD
