Australia's Maas Group lifts earnings outlook after $600 million Firmus order Aug 4 (Reuters) - Australia's Maas Group MGH.AX said on Tuesday it will deepen its investment in AI infrastructure firm Firmus and raised its annual earnings forecast after bagging an A$855 million order ($599.87 million), sending its shares up nearly 9%.
Here are a few details:
The real estate company will invest an additional A$300 million ($210.42 million) in Firmus through ordinary and preference shares priced at A$230 each, increasing its stake in the Nvidia-backed firm to 3.2%.
Maas also upgraded its full-year forecast for underlying operating earnings to A$300 million-A$310 million, from its previous estimate of A$250 million-A$280 million.
The earnings upgrade follows a new purchase order worth an estimated A$855 million to supply modular electrical infrastructure to Firmus under the companies' existing Master Services Agreement.
"The Firmus investment is creating substantial value and supports our long-term strategy to participate in the development and delivery of digital infrastructure assets," CEO Wes Maas said.
